Lift Maintenance Contracts — Flexible Plans for Every Building

We offer three maintenance contract tiers — Value, Prime and Premium — each designed around your lift type, usage and budget. Before recommending a plan, we can assess your equipment and visit frequency requirements, so you’re never paying for cover you don’t need.

Every contract includes planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance-focused service reporting, and access to our 24/7 emergency callout team.

We provide lift maintenance for a variety of lift types including Passenger Lifts, Goods LiftsPlatform Lifts, Dumbwaiters, Home Lifts, Through Floor Lifts along with Step Lifts.

▬ Our Packages ▬

Choose a Lift Maintenance Contract

Every lift is unique, and its maintenance package should be too. We offer a wide range of maintenance packages, each designed to cater to different requirements. Each package comes with a suite of services, ranging in coverage and support, ensuring that we’ve got you covered no matter your lift system.

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all solutions.

Before recommending a comprehensive lift maintenance contract, we assess the condition of your lift and consider the volume of daily usage. This helps us determine the most appropriate level of maintenance cover, ensuring that your lift receives the precise care it requires.

What's Included in Every Lift Service Agreement

Our lift service agreements take the uncertainty out of maintenance. With clear terms and guaranteed service levels, you’ll always know when your next inspection is due, who’s attending, and what’s covered — whether you manage one lift or a national portfolio.

Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

Every contract is built around a PPM schedule tailored to your lift type and usage. Our engineers carry out structured visits covering operational checks of doors, safety systems, electrical components and mechanical parts, along with lubrication and adjustments where required. Findings are recorded after every visit and a detailed service report issued, giving you full visibility of lift condition and any recommended follow-up works.

LOLER Compliance & Statutory Inspections

Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), all lifts used by employees or members of the public must undergo thorough examination at statutory intervals — typically every six months for passenger lifts. Our maintenance contracts are designed to keep you continuously compliant, with inspections carried out and documented by our qualified engineers. If you require a standalone LOLER inspection, we offer this as a separate service.

24/7 Emergency Callout Response

Even with regular maintenance, unexpected faults occur. All Deltron contracts include access to our 24/7 emergency response team. Every callout is recorded and reported, giving you full visibility of the fault, actions taken, and any recommended follow-up work. If your lift breaks down, our lift breakdown repair team can attend quickly to restore safe operation and minimise disruption.

Dedicated Account Management

Every Deltron client has a dedicated point of contact who manages your service schedule, tracks lift condition across your sites, and ensures nothing is missed. For facilities managers overseeing multiple buildings, this provides consistent oversight and centralised reporting across your entire portfolio.

Lift Maintenance Legal Requirements

Keeping your lifts safe, compliant and legal

Keeping lifts properly maintained is a legal requirement, not just good practice. Under LOLER, lifts used by employees or the public must be properly maintained and thoroughly examined at required intervals. Failure to do so can lead to HSE enforcement, prohibition notices, legal liability and serious safety risks.

A planned maintenance contract keeps your lifts safe, compliant and fully documented, with safety-critical faults identified and resolved quickly.

Need a standalone statutory inspection? Deltron also provides LOLER inspections as a separate service.

Preventative Maintenance vs Reactive Repairs

Preventative maintenance keeps your lifts reliable by fixing issues before they cause breakdowns. Reactive repairs only step in after faults occur — often leading to higher costs and disruption. Regular, planned servicing saves time, money, and inconvenience.

If lifts are ageing or experiencing recurring faults, our engineers may recommend lift modernisation or refurbishment to improve reliability and performance.

Lift Maintenance & Servicing Checklist

During a lift maintenance service, several aspects are typically checked to ensure the lift’s proper functioning and safety. This includes a range of other industry-specific and model-specific checks such as:

Control Panel and Buttons
Emergency Systems
Door Operation
Electrical Components
Safety Devices
Mechanical Components
Elevator Car
Shaft and Pit

Frequently Asked Questions About Lift Maintenance and Servicing

The frequency depends on how the lift is used, but most commercial lifts are serviced every 4 to 8 weeks. Higher-traffic buildings may require more frequent maintenance, while lower-use lifts can be serviced less often. A tailored maintenance plan ensures the right schedule for your building.

A lift maintenance contract typically includes planned preventative servicing, safety inspections, adjustments and ongoing technical support. Depending on the level of cover, it may also include breakdown response, replacement parts and compliance checks.

Lift maintenance is planned, routine servicing designed to prevent faults and ensure safe operation. Lift repairs are reactive and carried out when a fault or breakdown occurs. A strong maintenance strategy helps reduce the need for reactive repairs.

Lift maintenance costs vary depending on the type, age and usage of the lift, as well as the level of contract cover. Buildings with higher usage or more complex systems typically require more frequent servicing and support.

Under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) 1998 and the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998, all lifts used by employees or members of the public must be regularly maintained and undergo thorough examination at statutory intervals. Failure to comply can result in HSE enforcement action, prohibition notices and legal liability for any injuries or incidents arising from poorly maintained equipment. A planned maintenance contract ensures your lifts remain continuously compliant and fully documented.
